Kiteboarding forecast is up for the Texas Coast

Forecast is up for the Texas Coast!
Windy Week Ahead!

This week looks great for wind; see the forecast below. The Baycliff spillway park has been a great addition to our local riding area this fall/winter season and is perfect for the North-west wind direction. Please keep in mind that the spillway is not for beginners because of its tough launch and landing area. A bay crossing from the spillway park to Atkinson islands (10mi+) was completed yesterday by Mitch Andrews, Phil Midler, and Chris Summers just before sundown. I you have any stories of pioneering kiteboarding events please send them to us at houston@xlkites.com

Holiday gift ideas:
The new Tropiskin koredry long sleeve water shirts are very nice. You can wear these over your wetsuit or alone and keep water from evaporating off your skin or wetsuit. They are also rated to 50+SPF so you won't get burned during those all day sessions this spring and summer. We have these in long and short sleeve in Black, Gray, and Navy ($37). We also have them in girly colors and sizes for those women on your list.

Other ideas:
Dakine hook knife for your harness harness ($8)
Kiteboarding instructional dvd to perfect your skills through the jumping phase ($31.95)
